The New York Trip

Nana and Papa are going to Baltimore to see Uncle B and his girlfriend, Erin. Then, they're all headed to New York to see Mary Poppins on Broadway. Ken and I felt that Emily was still too young to go to a Broadway show, and so we stayed home this year.

We're planning a big trip next year, when Emily will see her first Broadway show! Until then, we are sending our love and our prayers up to New York for bright, sunny, warm days so that they can enjoy the weekend without problems.

We love you guys so much!

As you can see from the poster, Emily's artistic expression could not be confined by such things as lines or concepts. I think she appreciates eclectic abstract art. :)

Easter Egg Hunt

Emily asked very kindly, and so we invited two of her friends over for an Easter Egg Hunt. Lucas and Landon brought their parents, and we had such a fun time! Bethany, although a little hesitant, really got into finding the eggs. Emily, always the good big sister, helped Bethany out by sharing her cache of eggs. I'm sure we have an errant egg or two hiding in the back yard, but that's okay. The mower will surely find them!

After the hunt, we had pizza and hung out. The kids played in the playroom while the parents geared up for a night of Phase 10. Overall, we had a great time. This may have to be a new Easter tradition!
